Return of the idiots
No altar-ing his wish
Sorry to drag this up again, but this stunned me while I was eating breakfast.
While cops and volunteers wasted days scouring the state, Wilbanks chopped off her long hair and hopped a bus to Las Vegas, then rolled on to Albuquerque - where she called 911 Saturday morning with a flimsy story about being kidnapped while jogging.
"She was scared, and I don't know that the wedding had anything to do with it," Mason said. "She just never has been good about talking about stuff inside, and that's not an uncommon problem, is it?"
Mason said she bought the bus ticket "just in case she couldn't handle anything else," and insisted she didn't live it up in Las Vegas.
Of course, he also said they've never even slept together.
"Our relationship from that standpoint is still very pure," he said. "I know that that's been a question on a lot of people's minds. But we weren't technically living together; very platonic relationship."
What the FUCK?
What kind of idiot is this guy?
He was living with her. A very platonic relationship? With your future wife?
My head hurts.
This guy has been played as a chump. He's got this woman on a pedestal. My bet, she's swallowed so much cock that when she belches, she crows. There are only two kinds of women who go along with this kind of thing, those who've fucked so many men that she's lost count and those who hate sex. How could you marry a man you haven't fucked? More importantly, how could you marry a woman you haven't fucked insensate? Isn't that asking for trouble?
He's thinking like an 18 year old. He's got this image of her which isn't close to reality. She dumped this idiot, ran across country and then didn't realize that she's created a big mess. Jesus, and he wants this nut job to have his kids?
Wow, he thinks not fucking his future wife is a good thing. Idiot.
Update:Father Tells Jilted Groom to Go Slowly
Mason's father, Claude Mason, said Tuesday on ABC's "Good Morning America" that he has told his son: "Take it slow and if this is what you still want, we're behind you."
Asked if he would be concerned if the couple heads into another big wedding, Claude Mason said: "I have mixed emotions about that. I think the wedding plans got a bit out of hand, but I couldn't say a whole lot. I'm the father of the groom."
John Mason and his fiancee's father, Harris Wilbanks, who also appeared on the Fox show, said the 32-year-old woman was working on a public statement. "She just needs some space and some time," Mason said. "She just wants the whole world to know she's very, very sorry."
However, Carter Brank, an agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, said that while the would-be bride "was somewhat remorseful" when he interviewed her, she "didn't come right out and apologize."
What is he really saying? Don't you dare marry this nutjob woman. But he's being polite about it. He knows his son is an idiot.
