I raise money for the enablers of child sexmolestersWe meant to end the drive on Sunday, but the weekend was, well, insane. It was simply more important to discuss Mark Foley and his child sexual predation than talk about fundraising. Foley raped kids as sure as Bush is filled with rage, the evidence is coming.But this is where the blogs come in bigtime. The boys at the Note must be choking on their oatmeal after praising Drudge this weekend. Then on Monday, he comes up with his blame the pages defense, creating a massive ick factor. Drudge is the past anyway. He's a tool of the GOP and everyone knows it. Blogs offer an honest, alternative counter to the bullshit which passes for news.But the simple fact is that when this obscenity broke, it was far more important to discuss how a child sex predator was protected in Congress than my MacBook adventures. Even now, I can't believe these people were so fucking stupid. Child sex predators don't give a fuck about anything other than hunting targets. What? Did they think he was going to take one for the team?The only team Mark Foley was on was the child sex predator team, and if he had to destroy the House to do it, he wouldn't give it a second thought. Hastert, et al, thought they were protecting him from himself, but that he was a good guy. He was playing them like a mark and because they kept his secret, they get what they deserve.How can you not discuss the collapse of the GOP before your eyes. Torture wasn't enough, defending a child sex predator shows their complete moral bankruptcy.It shames me that lawyers, grown men, would choose the side of a child sex predator over children. He was squiring them around town for God's sake. His aide had to keep him from fucking with kids in public.
