Dear Jorge plans to address the nation tonight, a speech wherein he will almost surely attempt to deceive citizens into believing that he does not wish the mass migration from Mexico to continue unabated. He will likely offer some negligible resources for law enforcement and border security – resources which will never materialize – in return for an amnesty program that will grant American citizenship to the Mexican nationals who have helped lower America's wage rates by 16 percent over the last 32 years.

And he will be lying, again, just as he lied when he said: "Massive deportation of the people here is unrealistic – it's just not going to work."

Not only will it work, but one can easily estimate how long it would take. If it took the Germans less than four years to rid themselves of 6 million Jews, many of whom spoke German and were fully integrated into German society, it couldn't possibly take more than eight years to deport 12 million illegal aliens, many of whom don't speak English and are not integrated into American society.

In fact, the hysterical response to the post-rally enforcement rumors tends to indicate that the mere announcement of a massive deportation program would probably cause a third of that 12 million to depart for points south within a week.

Digby makes a great case on how this is going to doom the GOP to minorty status.

Read it and it's pretty much the same argument I've been making.

Mr. Mensa suggests that we use the Holocaust as a model for mass deportation.

Wow.

Ok, let's take this insane moron seriously for a moment and I can explain why he's wrong.

First, he's talking about deporting brown people, not just Mexicans

Second, Europe was far more compact, and rounding up Jews and other undesirables was much easier. They were collected in town centers or deposited by the Army, that is if the Einstazgruppen didn't hold a rape and murder festival first.

Third, Jews were rounded up with identity cards which said Jew on them. Or they used public records and made it clear that you had to obey the law or be killed in the street. They didn't say the Yellow Star was going to lead to Auschwitz. When people found out when they did, they revolted. They even seized the death camp at Sobibor.

Fourth, local police were in many cases, eager to hunt Jews and ship them off.

That is not the case in the US. Besides the law, the fact that17 percent of Americans are Hispanic and this is some truly sick Nazi shit, this is just the dumbest fucking idea I've read in some time.

What does he want to do, forcemarch Mexicans down to the railyards and force them in boxcars with no water? Probably.

We're watching the suicide of the GOP. The racists are out in full blossom and the Wing Nut Daily editors, between praising slavery and the idea that cavemen rode dinosaurs, is now calling for a Holocaust against brown people.

When we talk about the Blue Southwest, this will be why.
