Racist? Why would you think that?

Here come the Mexicans

This comes from Crooks and Liars

Did a Right Wing talk show host advocate murder over illegal immigration?

Did a Right Wing talk show host advocate murder over illegal immigration?

TP: "Right-wing radio host Brian James of KFYI in Arizona recently advocated murder as a way of dealing with undocumented immigrants. An excerpt."

James: "What we'll do is randomly pick one night-every week - where we will kill whoever crosses the border. Step over there and you die. You get to decide whether it's your lucky night or not. I think that would be more fun…[I'd be] happy to sit there with my high-powered rifle and my night scope."

He claims it's satire, but the debate cannot be allowed to be framed in this manner. Unfortunately-this is where the country is headed and some right wing radio talk show hosts and bloggers will lnead the charge. I wonder if Hugh Hewitt considers this "responsible radio?"

You know what happens if they do this?

Some Mexicans, drug gangs, Army, whatever, cross the border, takes one of the snipers and torture him to death, leaving his gutted corpse for all to see.

Why do people think that these folks can be treated badly with no response?

Which is why I think the Minutemen are signing a death warrant myself. One day, the heavily armed drug gangs will show them who really runs the border. Which is why we need real border patrolmen there and not half-wit vigilantes.

Speaking of racism, Jack Cafferty seemed outraged that students might actually protest.

JACK CAFFERTY, CNN ANCHOR: Another day, another surprise. Some students, public school students, will get school credit for attending today's immigration rally in our nation's capital. That's correct.

One Maryland high school district is giving students credit toward the state's community service graduation requirement if they participate in the rally and are supervised by an approved community group. The Montgomery County superintendent says the decision is consistent with the school system's previous policy, but some parents and activists say that education, not political advocacy, should be the school's main focus.

Some say the school system is allowing one of the organizing groups behind the rally to push its political agenda on to the students. School offices were flooded with angry phone calls last week.

So, here is the question: Should students get school credit for attending an immigration rally? No.

I was just answering the question on behalf of my four daughters -- no.

BLITZER: You want them to get credit if they take algebra. Is that right?

CAFFERTY: Yes, exactly. Let's learn how to read and write, do the multiplication tables, and we can save the street demonstrations for later.

BLITZER: Now, this isn't credit to graduate. It's -- in Montgomery County -- and I live in Montgomery County -- you get community service. You need to do a certain number of hours in order to qualify for graduation. This is not the academic requirements. It's a community service.

CAFFERTY: No, no. I understand. My question is, what exactly -- what service are you doing for your community by running around through the streets carrying Mexican flags and advocating on behalf of people who are breaking this nation's laws? That would be my question.

BLITZER: All right. Well, we'll see what our viewers think, Jack. Thanks very much for that.

At the 7 PM hour, he suggested that the protesters had no rights and ICE should have backed up buses and rounded some of them up, oblivious to the fact that most of the protesters were American citizens and not illegal aliens, a term he used, and one I haven't heard in years.

Note that he didn't mention most of them were waving American flags, were citizens and exercising their rights as citizens. The implication was that they were dirty illegals who should be glad to be in America
