How to help?
An evacuee from New Orleans, four legged version.
OK, it's been crazy here the last two weeks.
But the question I'd like to put to people is this: who to help.
If you've noticed, I haven't made any appeals for fundraising for Katrina because honestly I don't know who to give or how to give to them. I'd like to actually help people, but I don't know who or how.
I was out Sunday, watching football, and all the bars were raising money, nearly every store was raising money. But when my mother said the head of the Rad Cross was making $629K a year, I lost interest in giving to them. She gave to the local 98.7 Kiss Care charity, which is going to directly help people in the region, but I don't know where to direct my money.
I'm still so pissed, I want to make up a t-shirt to express my digust and the use the proceeds to give to a charity, because to me giving isn't enough. Something has to be said.
But I'm open to ideas on what to do.
