The losers lament

Orwell spins in his grave
While Josh Marshall is off getting married, to a woman no less( I thought only gays got married these days), he's let his loser friends take over his site for the week. First, it was Ed Kilgore, Al From's other butt boy, now it's Vichy Dem Jonathan Chait. I wonder how he had the free time, since he should be spending his days wiping Peter Beinart's face after his neocon analingus sessons.
You know, I love my friends, but I wouldn't leave them in my house with a couple of cases of beer to wait for the delivery of a grandfather clock. Why Josh has people who clearly don't share most of his politics write his site is beyond me. It makes a lot of people who respect his work question his judgment. Just bcause they're good with words doesn't mean they represent him well. Kilgore embarassed himself, and by extension, Josh, and Chait, our Iraq debacle fan, is likely to get a similar asskicking.
So Marshall responded by launching a counterattack on “dogmatic idealogues” and “hyperspace lefties” who gang up on Lieberman. That's fine as far as it goes. I actually agree with Marshall and the DLC on the suicidal purity of the Democratic party’s left wing, embodied by the Howard Dean movement and its fanatical internet contingent, even if I disagree with his support for Lieberman in particular. (I think Lieberman's zeal to be seen as bipartisan, apologetics for torture, history of supporting capital gains tax cuts and fighting sensible regulations on Wall Street allow party liberals to tarnish the whole moderate wing as sell-outs.)
Another lecture from a loser.
Your boss is licking the asses of the neocon war criminals who trapped us in Iraq and you want to talk about suicide pacts? I mean, if you want Russian Roulette by example, that would be it. Marshall and the DLC, with an able assist from TNR, has backed loser after loser ina suicidal quest to make nice with the GOP. As Dr. Phil says "how's that working for you?" Tossing Joe over the side basically means that he hits the water first, It doesn't mean you don't join him in the drink.
We don't HAVE to tanish you as sellouts. We just point to your failures and compromises and let educated people draw their own conclusions.
Dean is the chairman of the DNC, something you folks still don't quite get, because he wants to fight and you want to play copperhead, quitting while the GOP loses.
If you had won, you might have a point. But you lose, keep losing and keep doing the same shit over and over. And we now agree that winning and losing matters. It matters a great deal and those who can't figure out how to win, need to sit down and let people who want to win make the decisions.
