Settle this, Bill O' Moron

Dumbass

Fox tries to fire O'Reilly accuser
by kos
Sat Oct 16th, 2004 at 17:44:45 GMT

I am not forming an opinion on the O'Reily allegations until evidence is put forth (it's too easy to accuse). But Fox has made a huge PR blunder by firing the accuser.

Scandal-hit Fox News moved yesterday to fire an employee who says she was sexually harassed by Bill O'Reilly - but wants a judge to declare the canning isn't retribution.

Andrea Mackris, 33, said she was served legal papers about her termination by a man lying in wait for her at her Manhattan apartment building.

The documents said Fox had asked a judge to let the TV station dump her from a $93,200-a-year job as associate producer on "The O'Reilly Factor" - and to rule that the firing was not in retaliation for her accusations about the show's host.

Obviously she couldn't continue working for O'Reilly's show. But Fox News is a big operation. They should've simply transferred her to a different department pending the outcome of litigation.

But it's obvious O'Reilly has a lot of pull in the network, and it was probably under his orders she was canned. Indeed, it was under O'Reilly's orders that Fox sued Al Franken for his Lying Liars book -- giving the book a huge sales boost and turning O'Reilly into an object of derision.

Ol' Bill is a hothead, and clearly lets his emotions override reason when he feels slighted. Fox should learn to stand up to the megalomaniac and tell him to let the professionals handle things.

While Kos will not form an opinion, I have.

Bill O"Reilly is a pervert who's biggest sexual turn on is bullying women into submission. It is the thing he loves the most. Fear and potential violence are his tools.

He acts more like a Saudi prince than an American businessman.

Here's a hint Bill: firing someone who sues your for oh, workplace misconduct is like admitting guilt. You're more pissed that she stood up to you than anything else. Now, you're going to bully her into submission. It's pretty much like legal wife beating.

I am not a lawyer, but I can read. Even my non-legal mind knows you don't fire someone who sues you. Because now she has unfair termination as an additional cause.

Let me explain this slowly, so even the simple among us can understand it:

Bill, the word is deposition. It is what Benedict Morelli will conduct this winter. It will involve every senior person at Fox, every staff member and every bed partner you had there. Your wife will read the details of your extramarital affairs and may well decide to file for divorce.

He will not only ask, but will find every woman you hit on, not only on Fox, but at every other job you had. Boston, ABC, whatever the fuck that other show was, all of them. We're talking a long witness list. In fact, he may well try to establish that a culture of concubinage existed at Fox. What does that mean? It means that senior Fox execuitives pick sexual partners from the people they supervise. (See the Texas Prison Rape story for grim details). This is like letting the FBI into your cocaine filled warehouse.

Being the dumb Irish bully that you are, you're going to provide me with days of copy and amusement.

But because seeing evident stupidity makes me ill, here's a suggestion: SETTLE THIS FUCKING THING MONDAY. Because, you just made Fox compound your stupidity with their stupidity and this will go before a Fox-hating, Post-hating Manhattan jury. Ms. Mackris will enjoy her summers on the Cote D'Azure, her winter vacation in Gstaad, and a Palm Beach condo because of your uncontrolled anger and rage. She will be RICH, as in seven figure plus rich.

Your ego harms you. It may well ruin Fox if it continues. And while I'm rooting for this, give the woman $5m and save the company.

But since you are evidentally stupid, you will continue to harass and attack Ms. Mackris and make her claims all the more credible each passing day. Thank you for being a wooden headed Irishman from Long Island. I stand to make a healthy profit from this.
